The "Casa" clinic is at Dekalb Taylor Municipal Airport, KDKB, DeKalb, IL. Arrival day is Thursday July 18th, 2024, and the clinic will begin with a ground school that evening for any participants pursuing a qualification (Wingman or Lead). Attendance is mandatory for participants who have not attended a formal, instructor-taught ground school. There will be a mandatory safety briefing at 0800 on Friday. Note: runway 09/27 and taxiway "A" will be closed for construction during the summer while we are there.

We will depart for KOSH on Sunday, July 21st as one or more flights.

Please review ALL of the registration steps below before proceeding:

• REGISTER ONLINE. Begin by clicking on the Register Now button, supply the requested information. There is no registration fee for this event but we ask for a voluntary contribution of $25.00 to help the cover host's expenses. (You must be logged in to register.)


• INSURANCE. NEW: Upload a Certificate of Insurance (COI) that meets JLFC's Clinic Insurance Requirements. You do so by visiting My Formation Documents on the Formation+ menu. (Once uploaded and approved, COIs remain available to JLFC clinics until the underlying policy expires. You may also review your uploaded COI status by visiting My Formation Documents.)


• HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT. You must accept the HH terms during registration, and then DOWNLOAD the agreement here, print it, sign and witness, scan, and upload by visiting My Formation Documents. Each person registered, including guests, must sign an agreement.
  


• ALLOW TEXT MESSAGES. Clinic organizers may use text messages to relay information to participants during the clinic (e.g., weather-related updates). Please allow JLFC to send you text messages by visiting the Contact Information tab in your profile, and checking the box under your mobile number in Other Contacts, towards the bottom of the screen. Review your personal Contact Information here.

Other Information:

• TRAINEE PREPARATION. Pilots seeking training must comply with the aircraft readiness requirements in paragraph 5 of the Training Program. Please pay particular attention to the rear seat comms... we cannot conduct training in your aircraft if an IP cannot communicate with you and other aircraft in the flight. Also, note that an "Eval" flight is required for first-time clinic participants, and training materials must be reviewed prior to arrival.
  

• MEALS. Snacks, water, coffee, and beverages are provided each day at the Dekalb FBO. Lunches will be brought in each day based on group preference. Dinners will be group reservations or on your own.

• FUEL & OIL. Dekalb FBO will fuel us from a truck. All participants will need to set up an account on arrival with a credit card.  

• HANGARS & OTHER. Hanger space is limited and available on a first come/first served basis. Call the FBO (815) 758-3521 or the new airport manager (Ben) at (815) 748-8102 now to be placed on the list. The ramp is large, but in the event of a higher turnout of aircraft than can be accommodated on the ramp, some aircraft may have to park on the grass. Bring your own tie-downs and anchors. NOTE: If you are going to Oshkosh, you will need to have both tie-downs and anchors for on grass parking there.
